As we have already announced in the first update teaser, you can expect several new party features from the upcoming winter update.
First of all, there will be a party-chat channel. That way you can easily communicate with all party members.
In the past, many players have criticised that members of a party that stand very close to a killed creature have an advantage when checking the corpse for loot. The rest of the party members had to trust that they were not betrayed. After the winter update, all party members will be informed of the loot at the same time in the new party-chat channel:
 Party loot
Since over seventy percent of participating Tibia players said in a poll that they like to team up for hunts, most of you will probably be pleased to hear that we will implement a shared experience bonus if you hunt in a party. You will only profit from this bonus if the monsters you are hunting yield over twenty experience points. In a party, this should not be difficult at all.
In addition to these new features, we will also implement party buffs. Party buffs will be premium spells, but if casted, free account players will of course be buffed as well. If you have learnt such a spell, you will definitely be a well-liked member in every hunting party.
 Party buffs
The party buffs affect an area around the caster. Of course, the caster himself will also benefit from the spell. Every affected player will be able to see this new status in the condition indicator. It will be displayed as a green arrow pointing upwards. This new status "strengthened" will appear for every temporary positive change of skills. For instance, you will also see the green arrow if you are boosting your power with a ring.
The needed mana to cast a party buff depends on the amount of party members that will be affected. For every further member, the costs will be slightly higher.
 Party buff icon
Every vocation will have its own party buff. Knights will be able to raise the weapon skills of party members, whereas paladins will be able to raise the shielding, and sorcerers the magic level. Since druids are already known as great healers, they will receive an additional party healing spell. If a druid casts Heal Party all affected teammates will receive a small healing every two seconds, for a period of 2 minutes.
In addition to these party buffs, there will be further new support spells for knights and paladins.
Knights will be able to learn two new spells, the Protector spell and the Blood Rage spell. However, these spells cannot be used at the same time. If both have been learnt though, they can easily be switched at an NPC for a small fee.
 Knightswitch spell
The Protector spell will double the knight's shielding for a couple of seconds. Concentrating on his protection, a knight will not be able to attack his opponent though for this period of time. The Blood Rage spell on the other hand, will drastically increase all weapon skills, however, concentrating on his attack, a knight will neglect his defense.
Paladins can also learn two new spells, the Swift Foot and the Sharpshooter spell. Just as knights, they cannot use both spells simultaneously, but easily switch the spells at an NPC.
The Swift Foot spell will enable a paladin to run very fast for a couple of seconds. Logically, a paladin cannot attack during such a sprint. The Sharpshooter spell will drastically increase the distance skill, however, a paladin aiming that sharply will not be able to walk quickly, or to pay much attention to any defense or healing.
Knights will receive one further spell in the winter update, the Charge spell. When this spell is casted, they will run as fast as the wind for a few seconds, having no trouble anymore to chase an opponent that is about to run away. Paladins will also be able to learn another spell. This spell will enable them to create Holy Missile runes, which will make it a lot easier for them to be prepared for any upcoming fights. Holy Missile runes can only be created and used by paladins.
Last but not least, one spell for druids will be revised. The Wild Growth spell will become a rune spell, which will enable druids to place a wild growth correctly when running away from an enemy. The Wild Growth runes will be useless for any other vocation.

Today our new fansite programme was launched. All our supported fansites have done great work so far and have contributed a lot to Tibia's community. They are visited regularly by thousands of players and are a very important meeting point. For this reason, we would like to improve our support for them, and we would also like to make it easier for new fansites to join the programme.
 Promoted fansite
In our fansite section, there are now two different ranks among fansites that receive our support. There are promoted fansites and supported fansites. On a promoted fansite, all information needs to be up-to-date constantly, and you will also often find own generated content there, information that is not published on the official website. Running a promoted fansite usually means lots of dedication and work.
 Supported fansite
The supported fansites also offer a lot of information and definitely are a good and interesting place to visit. You might find information about Tibia there in different languages, statistics, well - there are no limits! All fansites that join the programme will start at this rank, but have the chance to become a promoted fansite with time.
Next to being listed on our website, and having an exclusive badge for supported or promoted fansites, we offer several further benefits, for example, in-advance information about featured articles, screenshots, artwork, and update teasers, a unique ingame decoration item, which the fansite can propose, prizes for fansite events, and several more. In addition to that, promoted fansites can receive an exclusive interview with a CipSoft member once a year and free premium time for several helpers.
You have a fansite or are thinking about creating one? Please have a look at our new fansite programme and the fansite agreement.
At this point, we would also like to thank all fansite administrators who have been in the programme already, and of course also their helpers, for their good work, for their suggestions and feedback, and for everything that they have done so far!
Enjoy your visit on the fansites!

The countdown to this year's winter update has started. From this update you can expect new areas with a new city, new quests, new monsters, new raids, new party features, and much more. From now on until the update, we will present you more detailed information on certain aspects of the update in our so-called Update Teaser series.
Today we would like to introduce you to Yalahar, an ancient city that has developed greatly over time. Its inhabitants, the Yalahari, belonged to one of the most intelligent races that were created during the God Wars. They did not see any purpose in sacrificing themselves in this war, so they withdrew from the raging battles and found refuge on one of the northern islands.
 Yalahar
There, they quickly established this city with the help of their minions and pursued their quest for knowledge and science. During their research, they stumbled across an entity that seemed to be living in a place that existed somehow between worlds, somehow between existence and non-existence. They decided to name this entity Variphor.
Their initial thrill to have discovered something that spectacular was soon replaced by fear. Variphor was vicious by nature and had gained enough power to influence the Yalahari in a negative way. He manipulated them to fight each other and in a night of slaughter many of them died. To avoid a complete destruction of what they had accomplished, the Yalahari fled from the island and left the city to their minions. Without their masters, they tried very hard to keep everything running. However, soon they were overcome with vanity, enjoying the luxury that now belonged to them. Some of the former minions even started to pretend to be the real Yalahari.
Rumour has it that one of the true Yalahari has returned in the meantime though, influenced by Variphor, to bring destruction upon the world. So be careful whom to trust and try to find out if you are dealing with an enemy or a friend if you meet a Yalahari.
The nine quarters that once formed Yalahar became pretty run down over time. Some were completely destroyed, others were invaded by criminals, so the former minions of the Yalahari had to retreat to the inner city.
Still today, the nine quarters of Yalahar can be recognised. Most criminals that have invaded Yalahar have gathered in the former trade quarter, which is located close to the harbour. From this location, arriving merchant ships can be observed closely and traders can be robbed easily - a perfect place for the evil-minded.
Immigrants of many different races live in the foreigner quarter. Orcs, elves, minotaurs, humans - all share this area, which is far from being peaceful, as you can probably imagine.
 Foreign quarter
Many fancy machines and traces of secret sources of energy can still be seen in the factory quarter. However, all knowledge to use these devices has disappeared with the Yalahari.
The former alchemist quarter, the main area of science, looks as if it was destroyed by a major explosion. The ruins of the laboratories and the mutated creatures hint at the dangerous experiments that once were conducted there.
In the cemetary quarter, the dead have taken over completely and the former buildings and crypts now only serve as a place for necromantic rituals.
 Yalahar - cemetary quarter
The magician quarter does not look as run down as the others, but it is inhabited by many dark and evil sorcerers. Once in a while you can still find a helping soul there, but you are advised to be very cautious if you want to visit this place. At one part of this quarter, the surface of the earth has broken open and creatures of hell try to come to the surface.
The sunken quarter was once part of Yalahar, but the entire area broke from the land and sunk into the sea, as the name already says.
The arena and zoo quarter once served as a recreation area to the Yalahari. Now, all animals run free, their enclosures are destroyed and former gladiators stray around the area mazily to find opponents.
 Yalahar - arena quarter
Last but not least, the inner city, to which the minions had retreated, is the only part of Yalahar, which is considered to be safe. Many traders have settled in this calm and quiet place, and the few houses that can be rented in this part of the city reflect the former wealth and luxury that Yalahar once was blessed with.
