Hello folks! This is the first and maybe the only (or the first of many), discus the history treads. Here you can critic my post or make your own! We can share our thought on this weeks topic (demons), either as a serious investigator, a roleplay writer or a mix.

DEMONS
Demons came to the Tibian lands ages ago, but where do they come from? Do they maybe have some links back to other races in Tibia? And maybe even some human.
Demons have been around for a long time, some rumors say that they were created by Zathroth. A ancient race created by the gods to fight Zathroth, before the humans came along, was defeated, Zathroth supposedly punished them by turning them into his own minions, today known as the demons or the demonic race.
There are a few pieces of evidence that supports this theory;
(From the Tibian genesis: “The age of Chaos”)
[About the Ancient races the god created to fight Zathroth’s army] “And this proved to be fatal in the war against the relentless enemy they were facing. Those who were not annihilated succumbed to Zathroth's temptations. More than one of the ancients fell for Zathroth's cunning promises of power and knowledge, and legend has it that the wrathful elder gods brutally punished many of them for their treachery. There is even a persistent theory that some of these ancients later on were formed by the devious Zathroth into the very first demons.”
Assuming this was what happened there are theory’s on how Zathroth was able to create the demonic race, and I, well I have my own. Looking at history, the race must have been much less than a human, since both the elfish and the dwarfish races are ancient races (the only two who is known for surviving, however rumors tell there might be more), assuming they were about the same size as a human, they must have been heavily transformed by Zathroth.
There is reason to believe they were held by Zathroth for a few generations, using torture, spreading horror and fair into the race. Doing this he would reduce them from a human like race, to sadistic animals. Quite like the demons we find today, because as they say: “You become like your childhood has been”.
But to transform them to demons he must have more than personality, he must have injected powerful magical abilities to them. Among them; the blood from the dragons, making them immune to fire and able to handle fire as an offensive weapon. And maybe even the demon skin is a harder version of dragon fur. Other ability must be energy, from which I have no clue from where. I believe he used dwarf blood to make them immune to poison, and this blood might just have made them stronger to, since the dwarf are hard mineworkers. And at last the undead gave them the size, immunity of fear and paralyze. They removed the last pieces of goodness in them. Making them the ultimate killing machine, the rest of the powers the demons have must come from Zathroth himself.
